    Good day all,

I am a beginner at using Capture, and have the 2022 Student edition (which I downloaded a few days ago). I have it connected to ETC Nomad via SACN on the same computer, porting out to a newly purchased (only used for this so far) network switch. For some reason I can't work out, some of my fixtures are moving and activating of their own accord. Nothing is overlapping on my patch, and its very confusing. The specific fixtures are VL3000s and Robe ColorWash. If I were doing this in real life, I'd guess someone miss patched fixture parameters, other than the fact that I get screen flashes where it fixes itself. Thank you for any help!

Is your Nomad licensed?  the unlicenses version "flashes" the dmx to stop you using it for a show.

It was not liscenced, so that explains the flashes, can that also explain the rogue parameters? Thank you!

Unlicensed Nomad periodically sets all DMX values to 255, which will manifest differently on depending on the parameter.

Ah ok, thank you! It was due to it not happening with all fixtures consistently or at the same time that it was so confusing.

In Eos you have to actively dismiss a dialog box every time you start the software in Offline w/viz mode. This dialog box explains that the output is not suitable for running a show, meaning that the dmx signal will be scrambled every so often.
