    Hi Capture team,

One small workflow enhancement which could make a big difference in quality of life might be to be able to set a detault selection order when selecting fixtures for Sequential processing.

I find myself quite often clicking on lots of individual fixtures in a overhead/plot view, to ensure that I'm getting the order the way that I want it, which is not really a problem with small designs, but gets complicated when you are dealing with hundreds of fixtures, some of which are positioned very close to other fixtures of different types.

It would be great if I could set a default in preferences, ie (house left to house right, upstage to downstage, low Z to high Z), ctrl + shift + T to select all my fixtures of that type, and then know that my sequential assignment of Channel/Unit ID is going to follow my preferred numbering regime, instead of having to click each fixture (which sometimes means hundreds of manual clicks) to achieve the same result.

Perhaps I am missing something that already exists, but I think this would make a great addition for those of us who regularly deal with larger stage designs in Capture.

    Thanks

I would like to see that too. I have a few workarounds that miught save some time.

At the moment selection order is always from left to right in your topview (this means SR to SL), which can help to quickly make a selection.

You can also do your selection in the Fixtures tab. That means that if you did anything before (assigning positions, assigning unit numbers etc.), you can use that to make your selection in the right order.

Also you can set up a temporary filter that only shows the layer that contains a certain fixture type, to make selction easrier.

That said, I think a better solution would be great.
