    Hi. I am trying to both learn the MA2 and design a show. I have the Symphony version. The patch is done and is spread out over 15 universes.

    And right off the bat, I rented a command wing so I could have output. That was pretty clear from the forums and tutorial. This gives me enough parameters to do the show.

    Here is the funk. Setting up the network with MA on pc, the adresses match, the little boxes are green that should be green, and Capture sees the MA2 iin the universes tab. I should be good to go, no?

    I can rarely get anything to turn on, and to befuddle me more, many lights from different universes are on as soon as I start up. I have to go and reset all the levels in all the universes to get a blackout. And they come back if I try to turn anything else on, even if it is not in the same universe.

    I know this could either be on your end or the other, but I can't shake it and after 3 days of trying, i am about to throw this out the window. But I have to bring the wing back intact. 

    Any thoughts about this? Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I not understanding the basics of the MA2? The show goes up in less than a month, and I need to get some stuff loaded in because we have very little time in the theatre to tweak it all up. (as we all know, is pretty standard, but this is REALLY a short time).

    oh, and by the way, I can use the ETC Eos offline editor with no problems whatsoever, using the same patch for the same project.

    If all works with ETC and not with MA then I guess it has something to do with the programming of your cues. There are no known issues in the three systems so you can focus on how they are used.

    With that being said one way to verify when it happens between MA and Capture is to monitor the DMX universes of Capture and see the values that you receive. Are they the ones you intended to send from MA when you selected a specific cue? If not then you should inspect what are the dmx values in these cues, and any other playbacks active at the time.

    I think I have found the problem! The fixtures I was using here were not the ones that they are actually using in the theatre. The instrument schedule they gave me was very nice, but missed a few details. I needed to replace a list of fixtures with the latest versions. In particular, Source 4 Series 2 Lustr+ needed to be replaced with the newest Series 3, which has 12 channels of DMX, whereas the Series 2 only has 10, so therefore the listing is off. The fixtures were turning on when there was no signal going to intensity.

    SO, as I was replacing the fixtures in my plot, exchanging them for the Series 3, the lights were now going off instead of being locked on. Only trouble is, I need to put in a request for  ETC Source 4 Series 3 Lustr+ FRESNEL, as my newest library does not seem to have it, just the series 2.

    Mystery solved, I'm sure. 

    So can we arrange to get the ETC Source 4 Series 3 Lustr+ FRESNEL in the libraray? Or should I put in a separate request to Feature requests?
