FIXTURES LOOSING INFORMATION WITHOUT A CONSOLE

    HELLO I HAVE BEEN USING CAPTURE FOR OVER A MONTH AND IVE NOTICED THAT EVERY TIME I RESTART CAPTURE WITHOUT HAVING A CONSOLE I HAVE TO LIGHT AND POSITION ALL MY MOVING HEADS AND IM WORKING ON PROJECTS THAT HAS MANY POSITIONS AND A LOT OF FICTURES SO IF I DONT WANT THAT TO HAPPEND I HAVE TO LEAVE THE SOFTWARE OPEN CAN FIXTURE INFO BE SAVED WITHOUT CONSOLE?

    You can do so by storing Snapshots.

    Hello tried it but it may have a bug it didn't work should i recall dmx? Ot just play

    hello im still not able to keep my lighting on every time i quit capture and open it the lighting are all off note that im note using a console

    I guess you have not patched the fixtures to DMX universes, and therefore Capture cannot recall their state. I suggest you patch them and then store diferrent snapshots as mentioned above.

    okey got it just one last question if i patch them it would require a console to turn them on right so its impossible to keep the status on and keep info if its not patched and already gave them position from a console?

    If they are patched to DMX universese you can store DMX states in the snapshots. You do not need a console connected. You can alter DMX channels from the live mode and the console pane, or for access to all channels of a fixture you can go to the universes tab and switch the mode to "Fixtures". Then you can control the fixtures through the sliders.

    Finally, if you connect a console then you can control them from the console instead of Capture controls, while you can still save snapshots of incoming DMX values. I hope it is all clear now.

    You have to click the little "Play"-button that appears to the left of your snapshot when you hover your mouse over.
