If I use the new Underlay function in combination with send to back or send to front, I get some inconsistant results. I would like both my title blocks and symbol key (from the underlay) to appear in front of my Plot view. My thought was to send the Plot view to the back. This works only for the Fixture key, but not for the title block.

My title block is build out of a bunch of text frames.

Is there a different way to appraoch this?

This is a real problem, as I cannot use the function as it is at the moment. What is the status of this?

The idea of the underlay is to go under everything else. This means you cannot base a new plot on an underlay and send items you added under the underlay. I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to achieve, would you be able to share an image that illustrates your desired end result?

As you can see the actual plot is behind the legend/key and the title block. The way I lay out my plot saves me quite some "paper real estate" as the plot is not limited to the width of the title block. Making it possible to make a horizontal legend/key would help a little bit I guess.

I'm afraid you've lost me. You can make a horizontal legend though, just stretch it wider?

This lay-out of title blocks allows for a plot to be folded and still have all the relavant information visible on the outside. Another reason is purely esthetical. So I guess that does not count ;-)

I would like to change this into a feature request.
Could you make a setting to change the underlay in an overlay? This would solve a lot of problems.

I would like to renew my request to make overlays in addition to underlays.

There are very common ways of putting a title block on a page, that hugely reduces the usable area when you can only use underlays. The placements have to do with the way you can fold your paperwork and how most theatres are shaped.

If you are using an underlay, this layout makes most sense:

The blue indicates the usable area for plot views

But these kinds of title blocks are quite common:

If you aggerate a bit it means this for the usable area of your paper (indicated in grey):

    or

So that is why I would like to see also an overlay option. I know it would partly obscure parts of your plot, but this makes the most of your paper real estate in my opinion.
