glTF Material Import Issues

    Howdy!

    Hopefully this is just a "me" problem, but I need to import glTF 3d models into Capture 2023.1.6 on a Win10Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.3570 machine; Capture reports "using cgltf, (c) 2018 Johannes Kuhlmann".

    So far, all attempts yield roughly the same results - proper mesh import, but Material import fails, even with commercially sold and glTF-validated files (I'm using the validator at "https://github.khronos.or...TF-Validator/")

    Anyone know if there's a trick to this that I'm just not seeing?

    Errors looks like: 

    ERROR: Failed to load texture for material 'Wooden_Wheel_OutsideRivet' from 'data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQEASABIAA[...]   and

    ERROR: Failed to load texture for material 'Wooden_Wheel_Top' from 'data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQSkZJRgABAQEASAB[...]

    In doing a little research, the problem might be with an old library of CglTF - evidently the most current version of Johannes Kuhlmann's build is from 2022 (CglTF 1.13), not 2018.  Doesn't really help the situation though. 

    Has anyone ever had success with correct material imort on glTF models?

    If you have glTF files that you believe should work and pass the official validator, then please send them to us at support@capture.se so we can take a closer look and fix any issues!
