On December 20th 2024, Capture Visualisation AB acquired AtlaBase Ltd.
Upon the merge, the name of the Greek subsidiary was changed to Capture Visualisation Ltd, bringing all employees into the same Capture Visualisation group of companies.
The entertainment industry database supplied by AtlaBase Ltd will remain available as a subscription service to lighting control manufacturers. The name of the product will remain unchanged and all product information and technical documentation will be transferred to Capture Visualisation's web site.
"Stability, simplification, optimisation and increased focus have been key factors in our decision on both ends." says Vangelis Manolis, partner in both Capture Visualisation AB and AtlaBase Ltd. “AtlaBase Ltd was a spin-off of Capture Visualisation AB, and now the spin-in of AtlaBase Ltd broadens the products and services offered by Capture Visualisation to third party manufacturers as well as end users.”
The merge is not expected to have any practical impact on neither Capture nor AtlaBase customers at this point. "This organisational simplification will come to good use really soon though. With the release of Capture 2025 we will be introducing a tool that will help Capture users bridge the gap between fixture manufacturers' ability to supply technical documentation and the immediate and growing needs of accurate visualisation." says Lars Wernlund, also partner in both Capture Visualisation AB and AtlaBase Ltd.
