SGM Germany's New Talents Award gives young and inexperienced lighting designers the opportunity to have their work judged by a top-class jury led by lighting designer legend Jerry Appelt and compete for recognition and attractive prices, including a Capture 2018 Symphony Edition!
Submissions are open unil the 30th of October on the competition's web site www.sgm-new-talents-award.de. Once the jury has gone through all submissions it will select three finalists to program a lighting show for a song decided beforehand and to be presented live during the finals in Cologne. A Capture visualization of the SGM showroom and its equipment will be provided to the contestants to help them with the preparation of the shows.
The finalists will be invited to SGM Germany's showroom in Cologne where the newcomer lighting designer of 2018 will be announced and, apart from fame and networking opportunities, they will also be competing for attractive prices. The winner will receive a 13" MacBook Air and a Capture 2018 Symphony Edition license. Second place will receive SGM Dry-Hire-Jetons worth a total of 1500 EUR and third place will receive a Hotel cheque worth 250 EUR.
