Mozaiek0318 a church located in Veenendaal, the Netherlands, hosted nine Christmas Eve Services and three Christmas morning Services this year. Each Service attracted approximately 1400 people to the venue.
Stage and Lighting Designer Daan van Geerenstein and his team were tasked with creating a joyful, but at the same time devout environment for the celebration of Christmas Day. He readily shared his workflow and his favourite Capture features with us:
“For several years now, I’ve been using Capture for all my show renders, and it’s an incredible tool! I typically design a show in SCAD Re-event and import the DWG directly into Capture. This workflow works seamlessly for me. I only need to replace the CAD fixtures with Capture fixtures, which is a straightforward process.
“Once everything is set up, I create a patch and a power distribution plan. The tools are incredibly user-friendly, allowing me to easily drag and drop fixtures into the patch. Additionally, creating a fixture report for the patch or power distribution plan is a breeze.
"My favourite feature is the plot editor. It’s incredibly intuitive and efficient. Simply adding a view inset and applying the filter to it is all it takes.
“This year, we had a more complex LED wall to work with. To test the content, we set up an NDI stream and directly streamed from ProPresenter or a PC running Avolites AI. The setup process was incredibly easy and convenient. It’s a fantastic feature.”
